Springfield Dance is in the business of creating successful individuals. My name is Ronda Brinkman and my role at Springfield Dance is Chief Motivational Officer.
At the age of 6, after attending my first dance class, I knew I wanted to be a dance teacher. The organization of the teacher notebook, and each student standing on their own special square was mesmerizing to me. Soon I was creating my own choreography on my kindergarten practice paper. Neighborhood children were willingly subjected to my creativity as I led them through poolside or basement dance contests. I was passionate about producing a work of art and seeing it come to life on stage—whether it be a grade school talent show or high school cheerleading camp. I was hooked. I wanted a career in dance, but my parents insisted on the logistics of a business degree. I continued my dance education by dancing every day in school and local dance studios, while earning my BA in Business Administration. I found my calling when I was hired by a local studio to train and spark creative genius in beginning ballet students.
Fast forward 5 years, I was married with a baby and teaching all styles of dance. I loved the creative outlet teaching allowed, and I longed to do it full time while guiding and inspiring other kids to also follow their dreams. A local studio owner contacted me, knowing I had the passion and the drive to motivate others to be their very best. She offered to sell me her business and Springfield Dance was born.
Springfield Dance has grown from a one room studio that housed 100 students to a large dance academy with four spacious studios (and one on the way) with state of the art equipment, over 450 students of all ages and abilities and 20 dedicated industry professionals to guide our students on their dance journey.
